Can You Tell the Difference Between Evil Profits and Good Profits?

I was reading through an article the other day about the Wiccan religion and they were very upset about a comment that the Christian website owner had made. I would like you to read the response from the Christians first.

"I was watching a police show on television some time ago, and saw a sting operation in which undercover police officers bought drugs from dealers on the street. Invariably, some of the dealers would ask, "You a cop?" The officer would say "no," and the deal was made. Satan often goes undercover. The Bible tells us that he can even masquerade as an angel of light. Just because a certain religion professes no belief in Satan, does not mean its adherents are not falling for his lies. It just means that they're unaware that they are. You said God would be disgusted by our judgmentalism. God has told us in His Word (The Bible) to watch for false prophets and false apostles. God has told us to contend for the faith. He has told us to evangelize. In other words, God has told us to do just what we are doing."

Here's something I would like you to think about if you consider yourself a Christian, read this very carefully.

"God has told us in his Word the Bible to watch for false prophets and false apostles." I would like you to read this statement a couple of times and see if you agree with it. How can you possibly tell who the false prophets are? Do you think that because you are a Christian and believe in Jesus or God, that you will know the difference between a evil profit and a godly one?

I often write articles and have written quite a few of them about religion and Christianity. Seems to be the one that I know the most about, so it gets the most attention from me. If I was to make a statement like the Bible has contradictions in it, would you consider me an evil profit. Someone working for the Devil. I don't think so, because it doesn't make sense, how could you turn a truth full statement into evil prophesies.

If I was to introduce you to a hundred people, could you tell me by looking at them or talking to them, which ones are evil and which ones are good. Most Christians would probably respond to that with, God knows and that's good enough for me. Everyone else who talks bad about Christianity will be considered evil or searching for the truth. They just haven't found Jesus yet, is that right, is that what you believe.

I found this response to the Wiccan believer to be one that I run into often. It seems unfair to others who aren't Christians and one-sided. Most organized religions have answers for everything, the problem is that some of the times these answers don't make any sense at all. If you're going to follow this part of the Bible word for word, shouldn't you follow all of the Bible word for word.

Leviticus 14:9 On the seventh day he must shave off all his hair; he must shave his head, his beard, his eyebrows and the rest of his hair. He must wash his clothes and bathe himself with water, and he will be clean.

Leviticus 19:27 " 'Do not cut the hair at the sides of your head or clip off the edges of your beard.

This will make Christians easier to spot, a bald head with long beards.

Setting and Achieving Real Estate Goals

Is one, one of those people that plan for their death more than they plan for their immediate future? Well, I know one thinks one is not, but if one has already written one's will and probably has no goals for the next three to ten years, it could mean just that; one is more concerned and planning more for one's demise, than for one's time before death. It is therefore time that one started setting goals. However, remember that goals are more than just what one puts in writing. Ideally, the goals are just like the spoken word; not true until proven by action. Here are a few tips that will ensure that one sets good and easy to achieve goals.

Specific Goals

When one is specific with one's goals, one is able to prioritize what matters to ones most either in the short term or the long term. If for example one needs to buy a car, and a Mercedes at that, one also need a decent home for one's family, college education for one, one's partner one's children and other activities which could include travel, one can prioritize what is most important. By doing this, one is able to strategize where to allocate one's resources first. Remember that goals push us to act. Having more goals for ranging from one moth, three months, six months, an year or even 10 years will make one a more proactive person. In turn, this makes one leads a more prosperous, fulfilling life.

Set Realistic Goals

Remember that one are kidding no one, if one's goals are no believable even to one, one's chances of achieving them is almost nil. One must gauge how much one is likely to achieve and set one's goals based on that. Goals that are not realistic will just end up disappointing one and eroding one's confidence for one's abilities.

Set Quantifiable Goals

When setting the goals remember that measuring one's achievements is of major importance. For example instead of saying that one will be financially independent in five years, just state how much money one wants to have accumulated in saving by that time. Alternatively, one can have the amount worth of equity one intends to have accumulated in the short term and long term. If one is targeting a particular income annually, then break this down to monthly incomes and see how achievable that goal is. Should one find that one is earning more or less than earlier envisaged, one is free to make amendments to one's goals. An admirable character trait among successful people is the fact that they make goals fast and are equally fast to make adjustments when the need arises. They do not hesitate, waver or even engage in negative thoughts about themselves.

Set Harmonious Goals

Harmony and condition between one's goals and actions should go hand-in-hand. If one has set a goal to use time more efficiently, then by al mean s avoid contradicting goals like having more time to relax and spend with family and friends. If this is to happen, one will no doubt have a hard time balancing the two.

Have a Vision of the Goal

Take some minutes each day and visualize physically as having achieved the goal. It may look faked afterwards, but that is the whole idea of visualizing the goal. Because it is not yet real, it pays to engage one's fantasies. Ever heard of 'act like you got it until you do'? Well, it is the idea that has propelled many successful people to their goals. This helps one to be more determined towards achieving one's goals, since one possess them in one's mind.

Work Towards Goals

Without working towards one's goals, they just remain a fantasy in one's mind that will probably never see the light of day. Prioritize one's work such that each day moves one closer to the goals.

Give Them Numbers

By giving one's goals specific numbers in the order of importance, one is able to ensure that enough justification is given to e ach goal. If one's goal is to have a better home, what is the supporting reason for the goal, is it because one are not comfortable with one's current home or just because one wants to move to a safer neighborhood. Are there more pressing goals like sending one's children to college? Ideally, the reason for one's goal setting should be important than one's goal. Several goals often present tough choices because they demand so much of one's time and resources, but remember that by setting them, one is acknowledging a need in one's life.

Examine, Evaluate and Modify

Flexibility is one thing that determines how fast one achieves one's goals. When one examines and evaluates one's goal, one is able to know the adjustments needed. Because some things happen different than one had expected, one must be able to factor this in. No matter what happens however, one must always strive at self improving works. Working harder on physically rather than on the job will lead to personal development, which is the background of one's persona

Have Deadlines

As earlier stated, a goal without set deadlines is just conversation. Try to set one's goals in the four areas listed below

Financial

One's goals should reflect the income, cash flow, equity and the net worth one wants to have.

Fitness

Fitness goals helps one lives a better, healthier life and in turn gives one better chances of achieving some of the other goals whose achievement depends on one's physical wellbeing. The phrase about the apple a day keeping the doctor away rings true to this day. Do things that will ensure that one remains healthy because this not only affects one, but one's family as well. It is advisable to start with the simple steps and then adjust with time.

Family

Family goals could include spending more time with one's family, taking family vacations, visiting places together or even visiting relatives. The goals include how often one would want to get involved in this family goals. There are a variety of family goals that one can set, just choose what matches the needs of one's family.

Faith

Faith based goals include spiritual goals, associations with one's friends and basically everything that one believes in. One's spiritual believes shape up one's actions and also affects the kind of company that one keeps. Now that one have decided to set goals, it is also advisable that one chooses friends that believe in one's goals. It pays to be around people that encourage one and even put one into account whenever one seem to relax on the efforts to reach one's goals. The biggest mistake one can ever do is hand out with non-believers in one's goals because such will only draw one back. Remember that birds of a feather fly together. If one wants to earn 1 million dollars by the end of the year, then be with people that have the same goal, or that have already achieved this. The latter group is just evidence that one's goal is indeed achievable. However, this does not mean that one gets rid of all one's friends. No one can keep them but never let them in on what one is out to achieve. The idea behind successful goal setting is to have a goal and a vision to achieve just that, who knows, one could just be the next millionaire, home owner or wealthiest farmer!

8 Quick Motivation Tips For Your Road to Success

Everyone wants to be successful, they want to achieve their goals and achieve the things they wanted the most in their life. However, only about 90 percent of people who actually dream about this makes it come true. So there must be something that 10 percent of people had to be different from the 90 percent. The difference is this; they know how to motivate themselves into taking action and driving themselves toward their goals in their road to success.

Therefore, the first thing you need to learn in order to achieve the success you want is how you can motivate yourself. You must know how to keep yourself at the highest energy level everyday. Motivation is not a skill; you must motivate yourself everyday, while for skills, once you acquired them, they will be with you forever. Only by making driven yourself 'hot', you can achieve amazing results in your life. So here are 10 quick motivation tips for you.

1. Look at your goals and dreams when you are down. I believe that you written down your dreams and your goals right? So look back at them when you are down. This is going to supercharge you again because of the reasons. If your reasons are strong enough, you will be able to overcome everything in your way. Make sure you write down your why you want to achieve your dreams and goals too.

2. Say something like "Cancel" when you are thinking something negative. I tried this myself, and it works great. You should try too. Whenever you found out you are thinking about something negative or focusing on a problem, make sure you disturb your thinking pattern by doing so. You know that you should focus in solutions, not the problems. So always do so when the times come.

3. Make a copy of your favorite audio CD with the songs or music that motivates and driven you. There must be some songs the moment you listened to them, you will feel driven and wanted to take more action. Make good use of this audio motivation method to drive you, listen to them when you down to make you hot again.

4. Join a mastermind group. The best way to keep yourself motivated is by changing your surrounding. And that means, you have to find a mastermind group who shared the same objectives as you. This group can motivates you by going through or listening to other people's story. It is easy to join a mastermind group; there are a lot of online discussion boards, forums and groups waiting for you out there.

5. Smile and laugh more. As you know, living a happy and stress-free life are the important criteria for a successful life, you must use to them. Have you ever seen someone who hates to smile and laugh? No matter what jokes you throw at them, they seem no response. This kind of people hardly feels the sense of humor and hard to get motivated when they are down, because they don't have an open mind. Therefore, learn to smile and laugh first before you get yourself motivated.

6. Often dream about what you want to achieve. Imagination is the best motivation. If you know how to make use of your imagination, you can make your dreams come true, fast. Everything happens twice, once in your mind as somebody's thoughts, and once in reality. If you can control your thoughts, you can then control your decision that affects your actions. Everything starts from the inside, which will be your mind. You either learn to conquer it, or it will conquer you.

7. Make sure you read self-improvement books or material at least 30 minutes everyday. This is to make sure that you will keep your momentum going. There are a lot of free newsletter offered in the web, you can subscribe to them and get constant motivation tips. Motivational blogs are also great for this too, and my blog is one of them.

8. Get close to the nature. This is what you can do when you feel stressed. Go out and get a walk, breathe the natural fresh air to free and calm your mind. Sometimes when you do so, you will find the solutions for your problems. This is because you have calmed your mind and focus in the solution instead of the problem.

Constant motivation is a must-have process in your road to success. Without motivation, you will loosen up yourself quick and procrastinate on your action. The more you procrastinate, the more you use to it and the more you are not going to achieve what you want in your life.

Remember what you have learned today. Whenever you feel down, make sure that you use all the strategies mentioned above. You need to keep yourself motivated. Success is a long-term process and motivation will be your fuel. So keep yourself hot all the time.

12 Daily Affirmations For Christian Leaders

1. I am uniquely created by God for a specific purpose.

God created only one model with my exact DNA. He specifically selected my parents, siblings, race, nationality, mental capacity, physical features and time in history. Like any responsible artist, architect, designer or inventor, God certainly had a precise purpose in mind before He went to all the trouble assembling me.

2. I use Jesus Christ as my role model.

I, like Jesus, want to do nothing from myself, independently, of my own accord, but only as I am taught by God and get His orders. Even as I hear, I judge; and my judgment is just and right because I refuse to seek to consult my own will [my own aim, my own purpose], but only the will and pleasure of the Father who sent me. (John 5:30 AMP)

3. I live each day in the awareness that there is time to do everything God wants me to do.

There is not time to do everything; there is not time to do everything good or everything everyone else wants me to do; and there is definitely not time to do everything that "I" want to do. But there is time to do everything that God is asking me to do today.

4. I acknowledge that God is providing everything and everyone required for me to fulfill His purposes in my life.

Money, manpower and the means-necessary are provided (or withheld) to help me understand His direction and plan for my life. When finances are tight, I make different decisions than I would have if money was flowing. I receive this as God's method of helping me know what to do when.

5. I recognize that every encounter is God's providence versus mere happenstance.

God Himself is ordering my life: I enjoy blessings, not luck. My fate is not up for grabs but is secure in Christ. My coincidences are really God-incidents. I am led by God, not circumstances. Instead, God will use every situation to help me understand His activity in my life, if I will recognize His desire to do so.

6. I REFUSE to focus on negatives in myself, in others or in my circumstances.

I routinely analyze all negative influences in my life for object lessons and quickly run them the painful portions of each to the foot of the cross. I then visualize myself joining Christ on the cross, and there, through His power in me, I look at my offender (even if it is myself) and say, "Father, I forgive them. They don't even know how badly they have hurt me." Then, crawling down again, I move in a resurrected fashion through life, ready to extend God's forgiveness to every offender (even if they do not yet realize their offenses).

7. I feed on God's Word.

I have verse cards in my pockets, car, kitchen, desk drawer and on my mirror. My thoughts return to my current memory verse frequently as I meditate on the Bread of Life.

8. I breathe the air of prayer.

I pray frequently, and without ceasing. I can go a few days without water and a few weeks without food, but I cannot survive ten minutes without oxygen. Like a dolphin surfacing for air, I must frequently burst through the clouds of life into the Sonshine of God, through prayer, or I will begin to suffocate spiritually (defined: stress).

9. I take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

My alarm system goes off at the earliest signs of "self" sins including self-centeredness, self-indulgence, self-righteousness, and the mother of them all, self-pity. I trust God to show me all wrong thoughts, after which I give them to Christ, as if they were prisoners of war with which He must deal.

10. I praise God through every situation. No exceptions.

Everything that comes into my life, Satan wants to use to destroy me; but everything that comes into my life, God wants to use for my good. I refuse to wallow in disappointment, despair or self-pity, choosing instead to partner with God for His best in my life by moving immediately to praise. (Praising God through a devastating situation is called "the sacrifice of praise".)

11. I follow the Leader, doing every NEXT STEP that God ordains for me.

It is impossible for God to take me from the comfort of my current position into the glory of battles won without first working me through boot camp. I recognize that every obstacle, set-back, disappointment and challenge are God-ordained as training tools to prepare me for my destiny in Christ. I receive them with joy and push through with determined faith and hope.

12. I resolve to be patient with His process - as I firmly believe that all the events of my life are interactive.

I trust God more than I trust a physician, who would readily cut me open rather than see me die. I trust God more than I trust a professor, who would willingly inflict a painful score on me rather than watch me miss the knowledge I'd need to succeed. I trust God more than I trust an employer, whose regular paychecks appear to sustain me. I trust God, no matter what!

Religious Fundamentalism Can Create Problems

Religious groups can easily justify their actions by using religious text to benefit and promote their beliefs. The Muslims can sling quotes out of the Quran to justify their treatment towards women as second-class or even third class citizens in society, often removing certain rights from them because they weren't born men.

Shouldn't these women be treated equally. This is where religious fundamentalism evolves into religious fanaticism.

Christians can often use the same tactics to justify their beliefs and Christianity. This list goes on and on and has created hardships in the past on some people in our civilizations and will continue to do so in the future. As long as people continue to turn a blind eye to evil religious and government leaders, atrocities will take place and some of them will even be supported by those who eventually will become accused are victims of their own wrongdoings.

Does anyone remember the Ku Klux Klan? If you live in the south eastern part of the United States, there is a very good chance that you have heard of them or even know someone who belongs to this organization. The Ku Klux Klan was responsible for hanging African Americans throughout the early 1900s to prove that the white race was superior to the race of black people. Their religious beliefs fueled them with righteousness.

If this going on anywhere in the world today, may be issues about abortion or gay marriage. It seems like an oxymoron, if we allow gay people to get married, we won't have to worry about the abortion issue.

Some Christians, but most Americans look at this as a shameful part of our American heritage. It's not something that most Americans would ever support today. I would like to point something out about the Ku Klux Klan, they started out as a Christian organization and made examples out of other white people who weren't conforming to their ideal Christian society.

There are stories of people that abused their wives and the Ku Klux Klan set them straight, one way or another. If it required beating the crap out of them or killing them, something needed to be done and they are morally obligated to perform the task as Christians. These people took their Christian beliefs to an extreme.

When are we as a country and the world going to start fighting religious fundamentalism at its core and stop the atrocities that are going on today, using religion to justify their wrongdoings.

Pacifico Lago

The lake breathes in sun and wind not unlike the trees, all the while exhaling not a hint of the eclectic emotions that surround its banks. Like all peaceful lakes, it offers man the haven and perhaps sanctuary that cannot be found elsewhere. What can be more beautiful than a single swan drifting upon the water as the sun glistens like stars in the midnight sky?

The surrounding path offers a myriad of stops to satisfy all those who approach it. The fisherman can choose his niche. By boat he is the epicenter, by shore he creates choices allowing a sense of freedom, or by dock he is encapsulated yet has a view of all who come to fulfill their personal quest.

Along the path sits a bench beckoning romance. Summer memories are captured by many including that of a small black cat claiming the area as his own. While sipping wine as the gentle breeze stimulates the senses of touch, the moment is consummated by two hands that touch and intertwine never to touch again. A vision that will long disappear but hold no unrest.

Midday is utopia. Breadcrumbs, books, blanket and basket. A family finds perfection in a day, a week, a month, a year. The mallard swarms in to savor a delicacy sprinkled from growing hands. The pages unfold the affirmation that the journey takes precedent over the destination. A blanket unfolds bringing together what was always meant to be. Opening the basket to break bread together "with glad and sincere hearts"[1] establishes a bond not of this earth.

On the banks of the secluded beach stones are skipped with perfection. As toes touch sand and wade into the placid water, another journey has begun. One of serenity, as the leaves dance above like an umbrella sheltering the moment. Across the lake the fisherman casts his line off the dock. To the left the swan awaits the solitude of dusk, which will bring two together again. The fireflies are captured in two small hands only to be released back to their flight. Wishes float above and linger until they are redeemed.
